Winner! - Los Angeles Feedback Film & Screenplay Festival - June

Here's a snippet of the email I received in regards to my winning screenplay.  My Rick and Morty Script called What Have You Learnt Morty?

Wednesday 28 March 2018

Mind Jacked

Logline:

Erica gets capture before she can make her Valentine's Day date.  But what has she done to end up in court?

Length - 5 pages

Cast: 8

---

This was for a competition held by SimplyScripts.com.  The script had to cover these three parameters within 48 hours:

  • Sci-Fi, Courtroom, Valentine's Day

You can view the site and feedback here:

I'm going to rewrite this without the courtroom scene.  I had to cut many scenes out just to make the five page requirements.

I'm going to turn this into an original episode.  If you're wanting to see the revised piece, let me know.

Rick and Morty - Don't Call Me

I created a fun writing challenge for this Reddit.

https://www.reddit.com/r/5MinSketchesRandM/comments/846dun/finish_my_sketch_fun_challenge/

Here's the details:

This is a writing game where you either start it or finish the story.

If I write 1 page. You write 1 page.

If you write 3 pages. I write 3 pages.

Etc...

We'll use Celtx as it's free and common.

*EDIT

I've just finished a two page sketch:

Logline:
Everyone keeps receiving messages except Jerry. He feels left out of the loop. But then he receives a mysterious phonecall that leaves him happy.

Feel free to bend or twist the story however you feel.

5 Minute Sketches ~ Rick And Morty

I've created a new community based on Rick and Morty, the objective is to write 5 Minute sketches in the spirit of MoviePoet.com.  A community that holds free monthly competitions based on a random theme, the writers are also anonymous.  So the scripts are judged on merit.

If you like to give this a go, feel free to join here:
